Looking for answers?

The Youth Alpha course is an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith in a relaxed, non-threatening way over ten thought-provoking sessions

It's low key, friendly and fun. You get to ask any questions you want and chat through the issues in a place where your views are respected.

You're not on your own either. More than 11 million people around the world have done the Alpha course in churches, homes, schools, youth groups, universities and prisons.

So why not come check it out? We are so excited to announce that YOUTH ALPHA will be starting on Friday 15th May at Word of Faith 7pm.

ALPHA!!!

Here it is - what you've all been waiting for...Alpha starts again Monday 20th April! We are so excited about this season of Alpha and have designed new powerpoints to accompany the talks (they are excellent!) And, of course, the workshops promise to be as interactive as ever! A lot have registered already but there's still time - so keep inviting!

Wow! Our Easter Panto was a HUGE success!!! Thank you to all the team who made it possible - we are getting great feedback from everyone who attended. Don't forget Alpha starts on Monday 20th April - we are really excited as so many have already registered. Let's continue to give it everything we've got!

Eggstravaganza!!!!

CURSES - FACT OR FICTION?

Do curses exist?
How do they 'fall' upon us?
Is it possible to revoke them?

In an interesting book called "The Book of Irish Curses" the author Patrick C. Power outlines the types, rituals, authors and formulae for cursing, reciting many historic Irish events. But how real can this be? Can we seriously believe that curses effect people in this educated and scientific age?

After much study of this subject through all the verses in the bible, coupled with natural events and the personal experiences of many people, we will look at how a curse can fall, be effective and even unnoticed and accepted by the unwary recipient.

'Are you serious?' I hear you ask! But how many of us have been told by our teachers that we'd never amount to anything? It's only when we reflect on the effect their words had on our lives that we realise; we were driven by the fear hidden and embedded in the words we received from the "important others" in our lives.

The following two weeks will help us uncover destiny forming (or malforming) events that may be still be shaping our lives and possibly resolve some issues that steer us in a subliminal manner.

Life in both it's extent and it's intensity is empowered by what we believe about ourselves. Some of what we may be believing, either actively or passively, may be empowering a lower quality of life than we can achieve. Why not come and find out for yourself? WEDNESDAY NIGHTS

Hi everyone! I want to really encourage you to join us on Wednesday night. Roy is completing his message on 'FAVOUR' and for those who were there on Sunday, you know it was incredible! Well the best is yet to come! Move heaven and earth to get there Wednesday.

EASTER PANTO

Looks like we are in for a great year. Significance was the early success and Easter is our second target for relevance in the 21st century. How about a drama whose characters are based on 3 dead, ex-mafiosa who are now angels and sent back to earth to bring the people back to God.

Knuckles, Scillachi & Smoothie are heaven's version of the 3 stoogies. Knuckles is still of the opinion that "might is right" and Smoothie is very much a ladies man, while Scillachi is the responsible(???) angel-in-charge. Mayhem ensues and religion gets a poke in the eye while these 3 mugsateers go on a rampage to win the world for Jesus.

Don't be anywhere else on Easter Sunday night or we'll send the 3 of them round to your house to get you!!

ALPHA begins again!

Our new Alpha course begins on Monday 20th April at 7pm. Check out the Alpha link on our website for all the details about the course. We are expecting a large crowd as already we have had emails, phonecalls etc from many people registering for the course. So keep inviting family, friends, neighbours as we desire to impact as many as possible with the incredible truth of God's love.

A Significant Success

Significance was a fabulous success!! We had more attending this year than any other and the event will be covered in next month's issue of The Shankill Mirror.
Life without Limits was our theme and the girls learned how to break barriers in their lives and reach their full potential. We had so much fun with our resident cleaning staff, Sandie & Elsie and the new face of Belfast's very own Gokky Wan. We are expecting an amazing turnout tomorrow for David & Sue Dunford, 11am & 7pm.
Well done to everyone who helped out - you know who you are and you are fantastic!

David McClenaghan as a magicain comedy clip

Made around a year ago, Dave put on his best white gloves and began doing very impractical magic around the city centre, we thought it was fun at the time, perhaps you may think so too...

The idea was to ask the question who do you see yourself to be, Dave played a magicain who was amazing in his own mind, but in reality was just doing silly tricks.
